Put as simply as possible, poetry comics is a hybrid art form that combines practices from both poetry and comics. Other than that it is very hard to define, as each creator will have a different style.

If you don't consider yourself the best artist, why not use collage and printed images to get you started before putting ink to paper and sketching?

If you don't consider yourself the best writer, why not use found words from graffiti, newspapers and interviews?

Unfortunately, REDINK poetry comics does not accept art or poetry that has been previously made without the intention of being a poetry comic. However, paneling an existing poem or narrating art is a great way to get into the poetry comics groove.
